CUHK delegation comprised of Prof Joseph Sung, Vice-Chancellor and President; Prof Francis Chan, Dean of the Faculty of Medicine; Prof Henry Chan, Assistant Dean (External Affairs); Prof Jun Yu, Director of Research Laboratory of the Institute of Digestive Disease; Prof Siew Ng and Prof Sunny Wong, Professors of the Department of Medicine & Therapeutics of The Chinese University of Hong Kong visited The Medical Faculty Mannheim of Heidelberg University.
The purpose of the visit was to sign an Agreement for Collaboration and Scholar Exchange between CUHK Faculty of Medicine and the two medical faculties of UH, initially in the areas of gastrointestinal and geriatric oncology but with a prospect of extension to other areas of mutual interest.

A joint-workshop titled “International Summer School of Excellence in Gastroenterology and Oncology” was held, with lectures by experts from both institutions.
